Downstairs Mini-Flood

So Tuesday morning early we noticed water dripping from the ceiling in our basement. It got worse. We put buckets out and got the fans operating. By Wednesday night the leak in the hot water pipe had been discovered and soldered closed.

Unfortunately we now need to fix the ceiling dry wall and repaint the basement. We are not sure about the carpet. We hope not to have to replace that, but are not sure yet.

Big Green Freezer sent to Retirement Home

After an estimated 30 years of serving the Crandall family, our Big Green Freezer has been retired. The going-away party was brief, but heart-felt. For those of us in our family we remember this best as part of Leigh Anne's Room in our Denver home.

While we will miss Big Green, Linda was excited to welcome our new white, slightly smaller and a LOT more energy-efficient, freezer to its place in our garage.

Linda is seen here welcoming guest coolers from the neighborhood to say good bye to Big Green. They helped in the well-known Transfer of Food ceremony.

Linda's attachment to our new family member was quick and sincere.
